This might be a great opportunity for you.Esteemed Colleagues,Our International Business Institute has concluded arrangements with Apple Computer to offer up to 120 paid internships for ACC Business Students for the Fall 2014 semester.Internships will pay between $13-$15 per hour depending on position hired and will require at least 20 hour per week. Apple would encourage students to work up to 32 hour per week and will work around a student's schedule. If you are interested in participating in this program, you will need to contact your students as soon as possible. You will need to interview those interested according to the checklist attached and have them submit an online application no later than August 8. Regina will send out the link to those students you approve.Students will be applying for a Fraud Prevention Specialist position, but may be assigned to any open position, including customer service, at Apple. Analytical skills a must; bilingual and technical skills a definite plus.Accepted students are required to attend a mandatory paid two-week training August 18-August 29, Mon-Fri from 6 AM to 3 PM.I have attached an email solicitation letter to send to your students. You may change the items in red to personalize it for your department's requirements. However, we do recommend at least 12 hours course completion at ACC.A qualification checklist and an internship memorandum of understanding is attached. Please have accepted students read and sign the MOU.Return the MOU, checklist, and student resume to Regina Schneider and she will send the application link to the students.Apple is also planning to hire an additional 120 interns for the second 8-weeks of the Fall term starting roughly October 8 through December 31. More details on that later.Initially, to ensure we meet Apple's expectations, I will be the assigned professor/mentor for all interns, work with Apple supervisors, and assign grades for all students in the program. As the program continues, I would expect to distribute that load to your respective departments. This is a great opportunity for ACC! I look forward to working with you to make this program a great success! If you have any additional questions, you may contact Regina (512-223-0178) or me (cell 512-568-7779).3 ATTACHMENTS:Email Mr. Louden for the attachments Internship solicitation email form letter Apple Internship MOU Internship checklistWilliam H.
